Yesterday was the opening day for Ellis Park. We went and Rose, of course, tagged along. It was hot outside, but she still managed to enjoy herself. We didn’t win anything, though, but with $2 bets, who cares?
Rose was sleepy.

Rose went “swimming” today for the first time in her pool. She LOVED it! She kicked her little feet around and cooed.
Along with other Evansville sites we visited this weekend, Rose went on her first trip to the mueum. She wasn’t quite the happy camper the whole time we were there, but we still had fun.
My grandpa Anderson helped make these (LSTs) and my grandma christened one.
Amen.
We took Rose to Old National Bank to watch her first fireworks show. I was iffy on whether or not the night would be a success since she usually turns into a screaming pumpkin after the hour of 7 and I didn’t know exactly how she would handle the sounds of the fireworks going off. However, she was awake for the whole thing (she passed out at the end) and she did an excellent job! Her eyes were huge the whole time watching the fireworks go off and she just sucked away on her binkie and hugged her blankey.
We started out our family weekend with a trip to the zoo. Suprisingly, Rose *loved* the zoo, despite only being almost 3 months of age. She wouldn’t let herself go to sleep and she smiled at all the animals that moved around in front of her.
While we were eating lunch, this peacock came up to us. He/she was not shy.
We made a friend while we were there — Mr. Giraffe.
We stopped for some Mommy/Rose lovin’ along the way.

Rose loves to lay on the floor and play in the morning after her bottle, so I thought I’d whip out the new camera and take some pictures!
You can tell she’s not quite sure of the camera at this point.

Rose hung out with her grandma, aunt Hay-hay and great grandparents later on today before they headed back to Indy. We miss them already. 
My aunt, Laura, my uncle, Vince, and my cousins, Kaitlynn and Natalie, came to visit for the baptism. Kaitlynn and Natalie were so cute with Rose. We hung out this morning at my grandma’s. My mom came over later and hung out, too.
