Other Indy pictures — Rose sleeping, and playing Corn Hole at Denise’s!
September 13, 2008
These are late in coming, but I’ve been working part-time for my mom the last few weeks and haven’t had a whole lot of free time to upload pics. These are from our trip to Indy and Rose’s first time eating veggies!
This is her face after her first bite.
Yum!
I love me some green beans!
All done!

Last night, my mom and dad had Rose for the night so that Tommy and I could have a date night. It was soooooo nice to not have to get up and take care of her, but we did miss her tons. We went to my parent’s today to pick her up and hang out. Lots of pics were taken!
Here’s Rose sleeping outside which is what she did the majority of the time we were there.
Here’s Annie doing what Annie does best — chilling.
Sleepy Rose.
Tommy is always the fire-master.
This is what he created.
We eventually went inside where Rose played in her exersaucer.
She was really focusing here.
I’m acting like a dork to get Rose to smile.
Then, Rose played with Teddy Ruxpin. (Um, bring back memories, anyone?)
They’re now officially best friends.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Otters game. Not only was it fun, but there was a great turnout of people. I thought it would be deader than a doornail, but I was wrong. Rose was awesome the whole time! She even squealed when people cheered. We had a great time out as a family!
On our way to the game.
Take me out to the balllllllgammmme.
Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks.
See? I told you it was a good turnout.
This is our drive home. I freaking love photography.
The green is the go light at a stop light. Cool, huh?
That was a carnival going on by our house.
This was making a left hand turn. Note: I am in the passenger side — not actually driving.
And last, but not least, this is a car we were behind.

How flipping cute is Rose in pink sneakers? Not to mention, pink sneakers with pink socks and jeans??? HELLO!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I love having a little girl to put cute clothes on! *Credit to her Daddy who got her dressed. We’re off to an Otters ballgame!

Today, my grandparents, Rose and I packed into their car and drove over to Jeffersonville to see Laura, Vince, Kaitlynn and Natalie. Laura has an array of titles – my aunt, my godmother, my Matron of Honor at my wedding and my “sister.” Such an awesome time and so great to see everyone! For starters, I played Wii for the first time ever. Yes, ever. It was so much fun kicking Laura’s ass (I kid, I kid — truth be told, she kicked my ass). We were doing happy dances and looking like fools while playing the various assortment of games while my grandma cracked up in the background. I also got to visit with Vince’s mom, Carol, whom I hadn’t seen since I was pregnant, so that was cool. We also picked the kids up from school together which rocked and I got to even see Vince at the end before we left. Great day!
How could you not love that sweet innocent face? (By the way, can’t go anywhere without the blankey).
Some Laurie-lovin’!
She was showing me her super hero move. We do that on the side for extra money.
My beautiful grandma with Rose.
Carol with Rose.
The gorgeous and wonderful Kaitlynn and Natalie with Rose.
Scary to think that I learned the art of changing a diaper on Natalie all while she was saying “Hold you! Hold you!” (ie. pick me up) in her adorable baby voice. (I tink!!)
Gosh, they’re so pretty!
Kaitlynn is the bomb!
Can’t wait to see them again! Already miss them!

Annie is my first love out of everyone in my small family. I knew her even before Tommy. She is by far one of the most loving creatures (human and dog alike) that I’ve ever met. She was once a mother to however many litter of pups in her previous life before I rescued her, so she knows all about how to love and take care of a baby. By love a baby, I mean she cries constantly when Rose has pooped on the floor next to her and tries to clean her at every opportunity she gets, even if it means making Rose fuss after the thirtieth lick. That’s what mommy dogs do to their baby pups. Rose is definitely her baby pup.
**Warning: If you’re a germaphobe, you will find some of these images disturbing. You will just have to get over it.

Four months ago, I was in a hospital about to give birth to my little Rosebud. Four months is such a short time, yet it feels like a lifetime has already passed. I can’t even remember what life was like before her. I used to never understand that line, but I do now. She completely makes our lives whole.
Now, let’s take a look back.
Four months.
2 months.
